Sunday School is the foundational strategy at First Baptist Alabaster for leading our people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship and worship. The three tasks of Sunday School are:
- reach people
- teach people
- minister to people
One word is central to all three tasks – people.
It is important that each adult class develop care groups to accomplish this third objective. We have no “Plan B.” Ministry best takes place through our care groups and deacon family ministry. Each adult class is encouraged to develop a strategy for ministry to members and prospects.
